IOSA is a Mexican corporation established in 1966, and for the past 27 years we have been involved in the research, development, production and commercialization of carotenoids from natural sources.

Our Carotenoid formulations suit different industries. For the Feed Industry they are intended to provide the golden skin color of healthy broilers, as well as the bright golden color of egg yolks that it is highly appreciated by customers. For the Aquaculture Industry we have developed highly efficient and low cost carotenoids, required to supplement feeds as they are a vital nutrient to accomplish biologic, reproductive and metabolic functions. Our Carotenoids are also utilized in the Nutraceutical Industry as supplements to obtain the desired level of carotenoids required by humans. In addition, our Carotenoids are used in the Food Industry to impart color to health drinks, cheese, pasta, yoghurt, butter, meats, pastries and sausages.

We believe that competitive advantages are achieved only through dedicated research and development. Therefore we invest a high percentage of our income to in-house research, as well as worldwide work with Universities and Research Centers in specific projects. This has led us to produce state of the art technology in our field. Among our developments we can enumerate the Conversion of Lutein into Zeaxanthin; the Obtention of 3’ Epilutein from Lutein; Preparation of Short Chain Organic Acid Derivatives; as well as processes to obtain Highly Purified Concentrates of Lutein, Zeaxanthin and Capsanthin for Nutraceuticals; in addition to Methods of Improved Bio availability of Carotenoids for Broilers, Layers, Aquatic Species and Humans. Several other processes and applications are patent pending.

Our carotenoids are produced under the most strict world quality standards and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP). The production chain is vertically integrated from the growing marigold fields all the way until the different end products are obtained. Our Carotenoids are stabilized and standardized. Our unique processing allows us to produce highly bio available and stable carotenoids that are superior in quality, resulting in lower costs to our customers.

We can satisfactorily mention that our customers in North and South America, Europe and Asia have evaluated and permanently use our products with excellent results, giving them a competitive advantage.
Our philosophy and primary objective has been to improve natural products, by being leaders in the continuous development of technologies to produce and provide more stable, more bio available and more economical carotenoids.
